Quest for a New Credit Card
For the past couple of years I have had a WestJet Mastercard from BMO Bank of Montreal. It worked great because it gave a super good deal when you redeem AirMiles for WestJet flights. I took advantage for a trip to Halifax and Toronto a couple of times. Unfortunately as of the end of July, the program will be discontinued. Instead the deal now is that you get 20% off the amount of AirMiles required for any airline and flight. This is not nearly as good of a deal because the discount with the WestJet program was often a quarter the regular price.
So now I am on a quest to find the best credit card to replace my BMO WestJet card. The features I’m looking for are a good reward program, automatic doubling of the warranty on purchases (this has really come in handy for me before), 90 purchase protection, and low fees. I don’t care about interest rates because I never carry a balance.
Commence the quest!

i didnt know this about the card - is it just the westjet version of BMO mastercard? i have just the airmiles version of the BMO MC. i dont know what else is out there except aeroplan points, which if you’re a big spender works great - if not it takes forever to rack em up

I’ve done a fair bit of research so far and have compiled a bit of a spreadsheet to compare features. I’m considering going with the Canadian Tire Options Mastercard but first I need to confirm some info on what kind of return of “Canadian Tire Money” you get.
